LinkedIn is Committing to be carbon negative by 2030
LinkedIn is proud to be part of Microsoft’s commitment to be carbon negative by 2030. We’re committed to ambitious goals and a new plan to reduce and ultimately remove our carbon footprint. This includes:
- A pledge to being carbon negative by 2030, and, by 2050, to have removed from the environment all the carbon Microsoft, including LinkedIn, has emitted since its founding.
- The launch of an aggressive program to cut our overall emissions by more than half by 2030, both for our direct emissions and for our entire supply and value chain. This includes driving down our own direct emissions and emissions related to the energy we use to near zero by the middle of this decade.
- The launch of a new initiative to use Microsoft technology to help suppliers and customers around the world reduce their own carbon footprints and a new $1 billion climate innovation fund to accelerate the global development of carbon reduction, capture, and removal technologies.
Reducing carbon is of fundamental importance not only to today’s generation, but for every generation to come. To learn more about this work, visit Microsoft’s announcement here.
